Constraints on bimetric gravity. Part II. Observational constraints

چکیده
Ghost-free bimetric gravity is a theory of two interacting spin-2 fields, one massless and massive, in addition to the standard matter particles thereby generalizing Einstein's general relativity. To parameterize theory, we use five observables with specific physical interpretations. We present, for first time, observational constraints on these parameters that: (i) apply full (ii) are consistent working screening mechanism (i.e., restoring relativity locally), (iii) exhibit continuous, real-valued background cosmology (without Higuchi ghost). For cosmological constraints, data sets from cosmic microwave background, baryon acoustic oscillations, type Ia supernovae. Bimetric provides good fit even large values mixing angle between massive gravitons. Interestingly, best-fit model self-accelerating solution where accelerated expansion due dynamical field, without constant. Due mechanism, models local tests such as solar system gravitational lensing by galaxies. also comment possibility alleviating Hubble tension this theory.

متن کامل3D gravity data-space inversion with sparseness and bound constraints
One of the most remarkable basis of the gravity data inversion is the recognition of sharp boundaries between an ore body and its host rocks during the interpretation step. Therefore, in this work, it is attempted to develop an inversion approach to determine a 3D density distribution that produces a given gravity anomaly. The subsurface model consists of a 3D rectangular prisms of known sizes ...
متن کاملCMBR constraints on R gravity
Considering the inflation model based on a f(R) gravity theory, we obtain several important constraints from the large angular scale CMBR observations. First, the ordinary slow-roll assumption during the inflation together with Harrison-Zel’dovich spectral conditions chooses R gravity as a unique candidate. Second, the R gravity leads to specific near scale-invariant Harrison-Zel’dovich spectra...
متن کاملConstraints on Brane-Localized Gravity
In this paper we explore some general aspects of the embeddings associated with brane-localized gravity. In particular we show that the consistency of such embeddings can require (or impose) very specific relations between all the involved bulk and brane matter source parameters. Given the fact that the 5-geometry associated with the embedding of a 3-brane with non-zero spatial 3-curvature k in...
متن کاملObservational Constraints on Cardassian Expansion
In this work, we have studied the observational constraints on the Cardassian Model for the dark energy. We have compared the model with existing Supernova data. The dependence of the location of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CMBR) peaks on the parameters of the model have also been studied. We find, in particular that observational data arising from Archeops for the location of th...
